Pacific Parrotlets
Parrotlets are the smallest parrots from the Amazon available on the market. They are only 3-5 inches long and weigh about 27g, but are as intelligent as a large Amazon bird. That’s probably why they are called the “Smallest of the Amazon” because they are small, originate from the Amazon, and are as smart as a large specie. They are ideal birds for those living in apartments, since they are quiet and take small spaces. Well socialized Parrotlets are affectionate, intelligent, and love human companionship. Males are known to talk but many females have been reported to talk too. They can say several complete sentences. They come in a variety of bright colors.
